What to Do Labor Day Weekend

For students living on campus, the first break in the academic calendar inevitably seems to ask: “Do I stay or do I go?” Since Labor Day weekend is just mere weeks from the start of school, many choose to stay on campus and take advantage of the extra time to get acquainted with living at Bellarmine and the surrounding Louisville area. The Department of Housing and Residence Life, the SuRF, and Commuter Services has planned a packed weekend of activities free for Bellarmine Students called, "Labor Day in the ‘Ville":

  • Friday, August 29 – Frankfort Avenue Trolley Hop. Students can ride a bus from Bellarmine to a Frankfort Avenue drop off near a trolley stop. Students can board free trolleys to travel along Frankfort Avenue and explore galleries, shops, and restaurants.
  • Saturday, August 30 – Residence Life is celebrating with the Outsized Influence Music Festival. Hosted on the campus quad from 3-10pm, there will be live music and food trucks from around the city. Come enjoy local music and food!
  • Sunday, August 31 – Louisville Bats baseball game. $1 hotdog and $1 Pepsi night – free fireworks after the game. A number of tickets will be provided to students. Details TBD.
