Dr. Cindy Gnadinger
Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs - Academic Operations
The overall mission of the Academic Operations unit is dedicated to the success of Bellarmine University faculty and students. Our areas of responsibility include academic grievance, academic honesty, accreditation, faculty development awards, the Faculty Development Center, the Office of the Registrar, and the Office of Sponsored Projects.
Dr. Gnadinger is the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at Bellarmine University, overseeing Academic Operations. Prior to her appointment as AVPAA, she served as Dean of the School of Education from 2007-2010. As a Bellarmine faculty member she also served as Director of the Graduate Programs in Education from 2000-2006. Dr. Gnadinger earned her M.Ed. and Ed.D from the University of Louisville with an emphasis in Literacy Teaching and Learning. She holds a B.S degree in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University.
Dr. Gnadinger’s areas of expertise include teaching and learning in P-12 and higher education settings and program quality. She has published in these areas and has presented at national and international conferences. In 2010 Dr. Gnadinger was appointed to the leadership faculty with the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE). She served as the Kentucky representative for the Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education (AILACTE) from 2008-2010. She has served as a Board of Examiner for state accreditation/NCATE site visits and currently serves as an accreditation team member for the Commission on Colleges for SACS.
