Dr. Doris A. Tegart, Provost
Dr. Tegart is the Provost for Bellarmine University. Her current responsibilities include working with Enrollment Management, Marketing and Public Relations, Bellarmine College, W. Fielding Rubel School of Business, School of Communication, Annsley Frazier-Thornton School of Education, Donna and Allan Lansing School of Nursing and Health Sciences, the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, and the Center for Regional Environmental Studies. The Academic Affairs Office also works with the International Program Office, the W. L. Lyons Brown Library, and the Thomas Merton Center.
In addition, Dr. Tegart works with the President to implement Vision 2020 goals and the Strategic Plan themes of Excellence, Catholic Identity in the Merton Spirit, Internationalization, and Global Sustainability. Dr. Tegart and her team are responsible for providing program growth strategies and finding resources for these programs of excellence.
In her 18 years at Bellarmine, she also has served as a Professor, Department Chair, Dean, Associate Provost, and Vice President for Special Projects, Vice President for Enrollment Management, and most recently as the Vice President and Executive Assistant to the President.
Dr. Tegart earned a Doctorate at Indiana University, Bloomington in Education, Women’s Studies, and Administration and earned a leadership certificate from Harvard University’s MLE Leadership program.
