Become an ACES Faculty Member
All faculty members are considered faculty of Bellarmine University and therefore must meet the requirements set forth for credentialing by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
Teachers and liaisons in the Bellarmine University ACES Program receive the following benefits:
- All dependent children of ACES faculty and liaisons who qualify as ACES students are exempt from paying ACES tuition.
- All ACES faculty are permitted to take, at no tuition charge, Bellarmine University undergraduate and graduate credit hours proportionate to the number of course credit hours taught by the individual faculty member. Liaisons are permitted three credit hours a year at no tuition charge. The tuition write-off does not apply to any special fees. Faculty are allowed to carry over unused tuition benefits for the two subsequent semesters. (Summer is considered a semester.)
- Any spouse and/or dependent child of an ACES teacher who would qualify as a Bellarmine student is permitted to take, at no tuition charge, Bellarmine University undergraduate credit hours proportionate to the number of course credit hours taught by the individual faculty member. (This discount is limited to one graduate class per semester.) The benefit must be used during the semester of the ACES faculty member's teaching assignment. Any spouse and/or dependent child of an ACES liaison may receive a discount of $500 a year. The tuition write-off does not apply to any special fees. The benefit is applied only to that portion of the student’s financial need that has not been met from other sources.
- All ACES faculty, liaisons, and dependents of ACES faculty and liaisons may take non-credit courses on a space available basis at up to a 50% discounted rate. (Discounts may vary depending on contractual arrangements with the faculty of non-credit courses.)

To be considered as a faculty member, please submit the following items:
- An ACES faculty member application (doc)
- Two letters of recommendation
- Final official transcripts must be mailed directly to Bellarmine University for each and every college/university attended.
- A syllabus covering the academic content must be completed in the SACS approved syllabus template.
