Congratulations on beginning the journey of discovering Bellarmine! As your Admission Counselor, I look forward to meeting you and helping you explore Bellarmine as a possible fit for you. I can be reached by email at etromans@bellarmine.edu or by phone at (502) 645-8509.
Education Background I am a 2004 graduate of Bellarmine University in Psychology and Theology. As a student I was active in Students for Social Justice and served as chair of the Bellarmine Activity Council’s International Affairs Committee. I also participated in a summer study abroad in Belize and a semester study abroad in Fiji at the University of the South Pacific, as well as various service trips internationally and nationally.
Personal Bio I was born and raised in Hamilton, Ohio and attended Badin High School. After graduating from Bellarmine I began service with the Peace Corps as a Youth and Community Development Volunteer in Bangladesh. After returning and spending a relaxing summer readjusting to life in the U.S, I came back to Bellarmine as an admission counselor in August of 2006. I enjoy traveling, water, warm weather, the outdoors, water-skiing, Latin dancing, discovering new places, and reading a good book.
Favorite Things about Bellarmine The most lasting and outstanding experience I have taken with me from my time at Bellarmine is the close relationships I developed with professors. I know I would have missed so much if I didn’t have instructors who were so concerned with my learning, which they showed by making themselves so available to me. I also highly value the small classes and close atmosphere of Bellarmine which allowed me to find my voice. However, I can’t speak of my favorite things about BU without mentioning the extensive study abroad options! You can go nearly anywhere you want (I did!) and there really is something for everyone.
The Right Fit! The best advice I can give is to visit as many campuses as possible. If you’re like me, you will know right away if that college “feels right” to you. Talk to admissions counselors, students, professors, alumni to get as many opinions as you can. I hope by visiting Bellarmine’s campus you will feel our sense of community here and catch a glimpse of why we have so many graduates who are so enthusiastic about the university and their experiences here!
