International Student Application & Testing Requirements
Testing Requirements An official score report of the Test of English as
a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required. The minimum score needed
to be admitted for paper based is an 80 total on the internet-based TOEFL (reading, listening, writing, speaking). Bellarmine TOEFL code number is 1056.
Application Requirements Bellarmine University is authorized under federal law
to enroll non-immigrant alien students. Students from all countries
are encouraged to seek admission to Bellarmine. International
candidates for admission to any undergraduate program are required
to submit the following:
1.) A completed International Student Application.
2.) A $25.00 nonrefundable application fee (must be in United
States currency).
3.) Certified copies of official schools records:
a.) Freshmen must submit secondary school records
b.) Transfer students must submit College/and or University
academic transcripts. Transfer students with less than 24
transferable semester credit hours must submit secondary school
records in addition to college/university transcripts. *Certified
copies must be translated into English and must bear the school’s
official seal. An evaluation of international academic credits must be completed before any university credits can be transferred to Bellarmine University. This evaluation should be from a third party such as AACRAO and official copies must be sent directly from the third party to Bellarmine University.
4.) If English is your second language, a TOEFL, IELTS or MELAB score
is required. A minimum total score of 80 on the internet-based TEOFL (reading, listening,
writing & speaking), 6 on the IELTS and 78 on the MELAB is required.
5.) Two (2) letters of recommendation from former professors
and/or employers attesting to the candidate’s educational
potential.
6.) A financial statement certifying ability to fund the cost
of attending Bellarmine University for one academic year.
Figures must be expressed in United States currency.
7.) Statement of Purpose-a letter outlining academic and professional
goals.
Applicants who do not meet these admission standards will
be referred to the Undergraduate Admission Committee for review.
