The Bellarmine Women’s Council is seeking
new, energetic members to help carry on its traditions.
The Bellarmine
Women’s Council is a service organization, founded in 1963, to
support Bellarmine University in many of its activities and projects. We have:
- Two
general meetings a year.
- Dues
$20 per year.
- Two
major fund raisers a year.
Book Fair – proceeds donated to the Library fund.
The Book Fair is a 32-year tradition.
Used and new books are collected through
donations all year long.
In the fall the Book Fair is held on
Bellarmine’s campus.
Frazier Hall on
Bellarmine’s campus is filled with treasures at bargain prices.
Designers’
Show House – proceeds
donated to the Student Financial Aid Fund
The Designers’
Show House is a 31-year tradition.
Women’s Council
members plan the event and staff the house along with
friends, University staff and
administrators.
It has featured some
of the most interesting, historic homes in the
Louisville area, decorated by the area’s finest interior
and landscape
designers.
Designers and
businesses contribute their time, talent, resources and
services to the
Show House.
- Annual
Retreat during Lent.
- Published
a Designers’ Show House Cookbook in 1996.
This cookbook
contains a collection of recipes of Bellarmine Women’s
Council members,
designers, caterers and friends of Bellarmine.
Proceeds from the
sale of the book benefit the Bellarmine Student
Financial Aid
Fund.
