Tutoring and Study Sessions

Review Sessions

The ARC offers free study coaching to all Bellarmine students in many 100- and 200-level courses. This is what most schools would refer to as "tutoring," but our review sessions should not be mistaken as remedial work; they are study groups and one-on-one sessions led by an upperclassmenA current schedule of review sessions will be posted on the student intranet.  If you do not see a course listed, please contact Debbie Burgin, Tutor Coordinator, at dburgin@bellarmine.edu to inquire about the availability of peer study coaches.

Apply to Become an ARC Study Coach

Any student wishing to apply must fill out the application form below and return it to Debbie Burgin (dburgin@bellarmine.edu) via email only. Recommendation forms from professors are no longer required; we will contact professors regarding your class performance. Study coaches must attend a training program.

Study Coach Training Program

Please read carefully this information about the tutor training program. The training program will helps hone the study coaches’ natural skills, encourages professional growth, and offers a high-quality learning experience for both the study coach and the student.  The training is mandatory, but the investment of time is minimal, and study coaches are compensated  for their time.  Incoming study coaches will all begin at Level I and proceed through the levels yearly.
