Whether you dread the task of writing or love it, you probably feel the pressure to increase the quality of your writing, no matter what your major or class level. The ARC's Writing Center can help you allevitae that pressure. Our goal is to help you improve as an articulate, independent, capable academic writer.
General Papers The Writing Center Director and Writing Center Consultants are available to review papers.
The Writing Center has Open Door hours six days per week at a variety of times this semester, including Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday from 5-8pm. Available hours are posted in the ARC, and you may come in at any time and sign up for an appointment during these hours. All appointments are posted in the ARC for self sign-up.
The Writing Center Director is available daily from 8am to 5pm. Please call or email for a personal appointment.
Peer Review Sessions
Your instructor will establish peer review sessions; you can check your class schedule in the ARC.
ESL Consultant-Sarah Pennington
Sarah Pennington is our consultant with skills best suited to the needs of ESL students. If you are an ESL student, we recommend that you work with Sarah when possible.
Graduate Consultants- Molly Coffey & Jesseca Cox
Jesseca and Molly are both strong upperclassmen writers who are familiar with APA style. Their backgrounds make them well-suited to help graduate students address their writing obstacles. If you are a graduate student we recommend that you work with Molly or Jesseca when possible.
