The ARC Writing Center
Mission
To enhance and improve the writing process for students through peer collboration and dalogue which fosters critical thinking. Our work focuses primarily on assisting students in analyzing core writing elements such as structure, thesis, transitions, clarity, support, analysis, and synthesis. Our consultants are meant to serve as attentive listeners and exemplary writing students who can provide feedback about writing in any format and help students at any stage in the writing process. Our main goal is not to provide a proofreading or editing service, or to serve as a "fix-it" shop which churns our flawless papers, but to help students invest their engergies in improving their writing as a form of ongoing education, critical thinking, and preparation for the professional world.
