Field hockey team dominates Hendrix for 6-0 win LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 31, 2008)--The Bellarmine University field hockey team had a dominating performance in defeating Hendrix College 6-0 today at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium. The Knights allowed the Warriors only one shot, while Bellarmine fired 21 shots.

Bellarmine set the tone early, as junior Reghann Covert (Homewood, IL) scored on an assist from freshman Allison Burns (New Albany, IN)just 1:01 into the game.

Six different Knights tallied goals for the Knights including the first career goals for senior Mallory Brake (Redford, MI) and freshman Ellen West (Louisville, KY). Other Knights to register goals were senior Hannah McNally (Hudson, OH), junior Cassi Dalrymple (Phillipsburg, NJ), and sophomore Emily West (Louisville, KY).

The victory evened the Knights record at 1-1. Next up for the Knights is a Labor Day match up against Division II foe Mercyhurst College. The game is set for 11 a.m. at Frazier Stadium on Bellarmine's campus.
