Women's cross country has 4th place finish HANOVER, Ind. (Sept. 6, 2008)--The Bellarmine women's cross country team placed fourth in the 11-team Madison Kiwanis Invitational run today at Hanover College.

The Knights were led by three top 20 performances: junior Cristin Samuels, sophomore Amanda Deane, and freshman Brianna Foster ran 14th, 16th and 17th respectively. Former Knight Katie Hickey finished second running as an unattached runner. (Hickey, a graduate student, still has one more year of eligibilty of track but has exhausted her cross country eligibility.)

The women's cross country team will compete next at the 29th Annual National Catholic Invitational in South Bend, Ind., on Sept. 19.
