Knights claim field hockey finale over Lindenwood LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 21, 2008)--The Bellarmine Knights won their season finale 3-2 over the visiting Lindenwood University Lions this evening in Owsley Brown Frazier Stadium.

Emily West led the Knights with two goals, including the game winner in the 65th minute. Ellen West scored the Knights other goal. Playing in her final game at Bellarmine, senior Hannah McNally registered two assists.

Emily West started the scoring with a goal at the 5:04 mark off a pass from Allison Burns. The Lions countered with an unassisted goal by Kundai Musarurwa in the 20th minute, and the teams went to halftime tied at one.

Ellen West scored for the Knights just two minutes into the second period. Once again Lindenwood tied the score on a Musarurwa goal at the 54:14 mark. Emily West's game winner came with less than five minutes remaining.

The Knights improve to 9-10 on the season, and the Lions fall to 8-5.
