Nakatani and Fugedy earn All-GLVC honors LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 30, 2008) - Bellarmine University's Brittany Nakatani and Cristina Fugedy were named to the All-Great Lakes Valley Conference 2nd Team when selections were released on Thursday.

With 10 goals, 4 assists, and 24 points, Nakatani led the Knights in scoring and points this season and tied for the team lead in the assists category. The freshman from Shelbyville, KY used her strong 1-on-1 skills to score 5 goals during conference play, placing her in a tie for 7th in league scoring. Her knack for scoring big goals enabled the midfielder to record 3 game winners for the season.

Cristina Fugedy, a sophomore from Marietta, GA, joined Nakatani on the All-GLVC Second Team. Fugedy was consistently the team's best defender, starting all 17 of the games in which she played. The gifted back was also dangerous on the attack, scoring 3 goals, 2 of which were game winners.

Nakatani and Fugedy and the 7th seeded Knights head into GLVC tournament play when they square off with the 2nd seeded Norse of Northern Kentucky. The match will be played Sunday, Nov. 2 at noon on NKU's home field in Wilder, KY.
