Storch cracks top 10 at Bellarmine Invitational
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 31, 2009)--The Bellarmine University women's golf team hosted the Bellarmine Invitational today and yesterday at Persimmon Ridge Golf Club, and sophomore Jessica Storch (pictured) finished in a tie for seventh to lead the Knights.
In the team competition, Southern Indiana shot a final round 321 to pass both Northern Kentucky and Lindsey Wilson to claim the title by three shots. Northern Kentucky took second and the Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson had to settle for third.
Bellarmine, which was forced to compete with just four players due to class conflicts, finished fifth in the six-team field, shooting identical rounds of 364. The Knights were led by Storch, who shot 162 (79-83) to finish tied for seventh. Junior Sarah Duplessis also had a top 15 finish, shooting rounds of 86 and 81 to tie for 13th.
