BU Knights compete at EKU Open Meet RICHMOND, Ky. (April 18, 2009)--Senior Jason Thornsberry led the Knights at the Eastern Kentucky Invitational with his 4th place finish in the 3000m steeplechase. His time of 9:25.30 was an NCAA qualifying mark and ranks him #2 in the GLVC and #20 in NCAA DII.

Sophomores Camilla Aramburu and Kacie Gamm finished 7th and 8th in the 400m hurdles. Aramburu's 1:09.42 just edged out Gamm who ran 1:09.46. They care currently ranked #1 and #2 respectively in the GLVC.

Junior Zach Pittman finished 8th in the men's 800m with a season best time time of 1:55.22. He is currently ranked #2 in the GLVC.

Junior Cristin Samuels had a breakthough race in the 5000m. She knocked 38s off of her previous best time, running 18:28.89 to finish 5th.

In the NCAA DII Team Powere rankings the men are currently #37 and the women are currently #30. Power rankings

The Knights will continue action this week at the Stan Lyons Invitational in Indianapolis.
