Track teams in fifth after Day 1 of GLVC Meet
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 1, 2009)--After the first of two days of competition, both the men's and women's track teams at Bellarmine are in fifth of nine teams at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Meet.

The women's team has accumulated 33 points after seven events, and the men have racked up 24 points in six events.

In the women's 3,000 meter Steeplechase, Bellarmine's Kristen Geiger (pictured) and Cristin Samuels both ran NCAA provisional marks while finishing second and third respectively behind Melissa Burgin of Southern Indiana, who set a new meet record with her win.
