Brady picked as NECBL All-Star LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 2, 2009)--Bellarmine University's Patrick Brady has been selected to the New England Collegiate Baseball League's all-star team that will compete against Team USA in an exhibition on July 5 in Manchester, N.H.

Brady, a rising senior from Lexington, Ky., is playing second base for the North Shore Navigators in the NECBL this summer. He currently leads the league in batting with a .409 average over 19 games.

Brady, a former Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year, also will compete in the NECBL All-Star Game on July 18.

UPDATE (7/10/09): The NECBL lost to Team USA 4-1. Brady started at second and went one for two and scored the NECBL's lone run.
