This program is designed especially for students who have completed a baccalaureate degree in a field other than accounting and wish to sit for the CPA examination. This program does qualify you to sit for the CPA examination under current Kentucky law. This program does qualify you for an accounting career in public accounting (CPA firms), corporations, not-for-profit organizations, and governmental agencies.
Students with a baccalaureate degree in business will be required to complete a total of 27 semester hours with 24 semester hours in accounting. You should be able to complete this requirement in 12 to 20 months, depending on the number of courses taken each semester. Students with a non-business baccalaureate degree will be required to complete a total of 39 semester hours with 30 to 33 semester hours in accounting. You should be able to complete this requirement in 24 to 36 months, depending on the number of courses taken each semester. All accounting courses are offered on both day and night schedules.
