  Post-baccalaureate accounting certificate - CPA Track  

This program is designed especially for students who have completed a baccalaureate degree in a field other than accounting and wish to sit for the CPA examination. This program does qualify you to sit for the CPA examination under current Kentucky law. This program does qualify you for an accounting career in public accounting (CPA firms), corporations, not-for-profit organizations, and governmental agencies. (Classification of Instructional Programs CIP 52.0301, Accounting, Standard Occupational Classification SOC 13.2011 Accountants and Auditors).

Students with a baccalaureate degree in business will be required to complete a total of 27 semester hours with 24 semester hours in accounting. You should be able to complete this requirement in 12 to 20 months, depending on the number of courses taken each semester. Total cost of the program (tuition and fees) for 27 hours is $20,115. This cost is based upon current 2011-2012 undergraduate rates. Tuition is adjusted annually and published on the website of the Bellarmine University Office of Financial Aid. Estimated total cost of books and supplies for the entire program is $1,672. This information is based upon a study conducted by the Office of Financial Aid in the spring 2010 semester to determine average book costs. For students interested in living on-campus, the estimated annual room and board charges are $8,890 (based on 2011-2012 Kennedy-Newman double occupancy and Meal Plan #4; for other options contact the Residence Life Office).

Students with a non-business baccalaureate degree will be required to complete a total of 39 semester hours with 30 to 33 semester hours in accounting. You should be able to complete this requirement in 24 to 36 months, depending on the number of courses taken each semester. Total cost of the program (tuition and fees) for 39 hours is $29,055. This cost is based upon current 2011-2012 undergraduate rates. Tuition is adjusted annually and published on the website of the Bellarmine University Office of Financial Aid. Estimated total cost of books and supplies for the entire program is $2,299.
