• Bellarmine Oratorio Society - A 60-member choral ensemble designed to present major works with orchestra, as well as a cappella works.   • Brass Ensemble - An instrumental brass ensemble performing Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary music repertory ranging from 5 - 15 players. Audition required. Stacy Simpson, director.
  • Chamber Winds - A small instrumental wind ensemble performing Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary music repertory. Audition required. Multiple ensembles directed by members of the Bellarmine University Music Department Wind Faculty.
  • Chamber Strings - A small instrumental string ensemble of three to four players performing Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary music repertory. Audition required. Multiple ensembles directed by members of the Bellarmine University Music Department String Faculty.
  • Chapel Music Ensemble - This ensemble plans and performs vocal and instrumental music for weekly Sunday and occasional celebratory mass and concerts at Bellarmine University. Audition required, limited scholarships available.
  • Classical Guitar Ensemble - This ensemble performs from the standard classical guitar repertory. Audition required. Chris Roseland, director.
  • Early Music Ensemble - An auditioned-member ensemble that examines and performs vocal and instrumental Medieval and Renaissance music. Audition required.
  • Flute Ensemble - This ensemble performs from the standard flute ensemble repertory. Audition required. Margaret Jamner, director.
  • Handbell Ensemble -This course is designed to introduce the students to both basic and advanced techniques of ensemble and solo handbell ringing. Audition required. Dr. A.T. Simpson, director.
  • Jazz Combo - These are small ensembles of mixed instrumentation featuring contemporary performances and techniques relating to jazz through the music of Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk and Miles Davis. Vocalists encouraged to participate. Audition required. Multiple ensembles directed by members of the Bellarmine University Music Department Jazz Faculty.
  • Men's Choir - A select ensemble of male voices that performs music for male vocal ensembles from Medieval to Modern music. Audition required. Mark Kano, director.
  • Music Technology Improvisation Ensemble - This ensemble is designed to engage the students in both basic and advanced techniques of ensemble collaboration, improvisation and cutting edge performance media utilizing performance-based music technology. Audition required. Connor Waldman, director.
  • Nouveau Gumbo Ensemble - Explore the roots of non-western music and its influence on American culture through jazz, blues soul, funk, R&B, gospel, spirituals, and island grooves in an ensemble where relationships and possibilities are constantly examined. Audition required. Dave Clark, director.
  • Pep Band - Performing a large mix of high-energy pop, rock, R&B, and jazz arrangements, the BU Pep Band plays at most home basketball games and travels with teams to post-season tournaments. Membership is open to alumni and all enrolled BU students. Limited scholarships available. Audition required. Stacy Simpson, director.
  • Percussion Ensemble - This ensemble performs from the standard Percussion Ensemble literature. The music of Varèse, Crumb, Reich and others is studied and presented in concert. Audition required. Terry O'Mahoney director.
  • Piano Ensemble - An ensemble performing 4-hand works of the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary periods. Audition required. Meme Tunnell, director.
  • Schola Cantorum - This group is a small 8 - 16 member mixed-vocal ensemble which performs advanced choral repertoire from 1500 to the present. Audition required. S. Timothy Glasscock, director.
  • Symphonic Wind Ensemble - This ensemble performs from the standard Wind Symphony literature. The music of Holst, Grainger, Copland and others is studied and presented in concert. Even though the ensemble membership is mostly music majors, non majors, faculty, staff and community players are welcome. Audition required. Stacy Simpson, director.
  • Trombone Ensemble - This ensemble performs from the standard Trombone ensemble repertoire. Audition required. Donna Parkes, director.
