Annual Theology Department Lecture, 2009

Daniel G. Groody, CSC, Ph.D. will give the annual Theology Lecture on “Crossing the Divide: Immigration, Spirituality, and the Human Journey” on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 in Hilary’s (located in Horrigan Hall) at 7:30 PM.
Fr. Groody is Assistant Professor of Theology at Notre Dame University and Director of the Center for Latino Spirituality and Culture there. He has spent many years working in Latin America, particularly along the Mexico-U.S. border. He is the author of "Border of Death, Valley of Life: An Immigrant Journey of Heart and Spirit", and "Globalization, Spirituality and Justice: Navigating the Path to Peace" (2007). He is also editor of two books, "The Option for the Poor in Christian Theology" (2007), and co-editor of "A Promised Land, A Perilous Journey: Theological Perspectives on Migration" (2007).

Dr. E. Glenn Hinson Day of Recognition
and Inaugural Annual Lecture Series
Baptist Seminary of Kentucky will hold a Day of Recognition for Dr. E. Glenn Hinson, a professor who has taught in our MAS program. The 2008-2009 academic year marks Dr. Hinson 50th year of teaching. Throughout his career he has taught and helped mold hundreds of men and women who are now serving and leading in churches and institutions around the world.
In this inaugural year of the lecture series, Dr. Hinson will give two lectures, one looking back at what he has learned and one looking toward the future.
This special event will be held on March 6, 2009 at the Seminary, 631 S. Limestone Street, Lexington, KY 40508. We encourage everyone who knows and loves Dr. Hinson to plan to attend and help celebrate this milestone.
