Clinicals: 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. two Saturdays (1st Group-Mar. 27 & Apr. 3; 2nd Group-Apr. 17& 24)

State guidelines limit class size to 15 students. Due to limited class space, registration and payment must be made in advance.

Materials, background check, TB skin test, uniform, shoes, state testing, CPR class, and textbook are not included in tuition.

TB Skin Test

A TB skin test with a negative result within the past twelve (12) months is required. The test may be obtained from your family physician or from the Metro Louisville Health Department. Students should bring test results to the first class. (If a student fails to comply with this requirement, a refund will not be given.)

Background Check

In accordance with established Kentucky Regulatory Statues, all students are required to pass a Kentucky state background check. The cost of the background check is $10. If a student’s background check shows a convicted felony, the student will be dismissed from the program and a refund will not be given.

Textbook/workbook

Details will be given with confirmation of enrollment.

Uniforms

Students are required to wear white or solid colored scrubs uniforms and white leather shoes on the two (2) clinical days. (Clean, white tennis shoes may be worn.)

Upon successful completion of the 75-hour course the student receives a certificate of completion from Bellarmine University. The student is then eligible to take the state Nurse Aide competency exam, given at Jefferson Community Technical College.
