Crusade For Children
Bellarmine students "fill the boot" for the WHAS Crusade for Children
In spring 2009, the Bellarmine Education Club and our chapter of Kappa Delta Pi International Society in Education sponsored “Bellarmine Fills the Boot” to support the WHAS Crusade for Children. Members of the two organizations purchased rain boots to collect donations, made posters and flyers explaining the Crusade, and sent out emails notifying the campus community of our fundraiser. On Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, they carried the boots around campus and collected money from students, staff and faculty. Additionally, the two organizations held a successful used book sale with proceeds going to the Crusade for Children.
