  waldorf program

Bellarmine University's Master of Arts Degree in education offers educators an opportunity to become more familiar with Waldorf education and its unique arts-based pedagogy.  Waldorf-inspired teaching is designed to meet the needs of all learners and is based on best practices in education.  It features an integration of storytelling, music, movement, art, drama, and poetry into the teaching of academic subjects.  The deeply integrated presentation of material has been shown to help engage children in the learning process and sustain their mastery of subject matter.

This three-year program features 18 credit hours of core courses and 18 credit hours of courses with a Waldorf emphasis. The Waldorf-inspired courses offered during a full day, two-week institute each summer for three consecutive summers. Core courses are offered in the evening during the fall and spring semesters.

Waldorf inspired courses are also available to individuals seeking a KY Rank I certification and as a non-credit option through the School Continuing and Professional Studies or Kentahten Teacher Training.
