In September 1996, Dr. Fenton won an award from the Annenberg/C.P.B. Foundation's "Innovative Programs Using Technology" (INPUT) project for his pedagogy for Elementary Statistics. An article on this pedagogy appears in the M.A.A. Notes volume Exemplary Programs in Introductory College Mathematics.
Dr. Fenton is a recipient of the Kentucky-M.A.A. award for Distinguished College or University Teaching of Mathematics, given at its annual section meeting in March 2000.
