In September 1996, Dr. Fenton won an award from the Annenberg/C.P.B. Foundation's "Innovative Programs Using Technology" (INPUT) project for his pedagogy for Elementary Statistics. An article on this pedagogy appears in the M.A.A. Notes volume *Exemplary Programs in Introductory College Mathematics*.

Dr. Fenton is a recipient of the Kentucky-M.A.A. award for Distinguished College or University Teaching of Mathematics, given at its annual section meeting in March 2000.
