Dr. Pam Cartor, Assistant Professor, completed her B.A. in Psychology at Stetson University in Deland, Florida and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Tennessee (Knoxville).  She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Bingham Child Guidance Center in Louisville, Kentucky.  Her research interests focus on the relationship between academic achievement and personality factors. She has enjoyed collaborating with several students on her research and has presented work with them at state and national conferences.  Dr. Cartor teaches courses in Personality, Abnormal Psychology, Counseling and Psychotherapy, and Tests and Measures, as well as a class focusing on professional issues in psychology.  She also directs the internships for the Psychology Department.

Dr. Cartor is active in the Kentucky Psychological Association (KPA) and currently serves as co-chair of KPA’s Ethics Committee.  She also maintains a small private   practice in addition to her responsibilities at Bellarmine.  She is married to Dr. Rick Cartor, an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist with whom she co-teaches the Tests and Measures course.  They live in Louisville, have two charming children and enjoy family life activities.

Headsup is a public awareness project of the Kentucky Psychological Association.  Dr. Rick Cartor was one of the artists who created a head.  You can see it at the Headsupkentucky web site.
