KEES AWARD
Your Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship (KEES) award is included in your comprehensive offer of financial assistance.
The Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship (KEES) provides Kentucky high school students with an opportunity to earn money towards an education in an eligible Kentucky postsecondary institution by maintaining a GPA of 2.5 or higher for each year of high school. There is also an added bonus for ACT or SAT scores. Students in the free/reduced lunch program can also earn a bonus for scores earned on the AP/IB exams. Up to $3,500 for first year, $4,500 for second, and $5,500 for each year thereafter.

Federal Stafford Unsubsidized Loan Program
Maximum award is $5,500 per year for first year. (If the student receives a Subsidized Stafford Loan, that amount is deducted from the $5,500.) Interest accrues on the loan at a fixed rate of 6.8%. Second-year students can receive a total of $6,500, and a maximum of $7,500 for each year after.
Additional unsubsidized loan money is also available for a student if a parent does not meet the requirements of the Federal PLUS Loan program.
Students do not have to demonstrate financial need.

Full-time students who are U.S citizens, eligible for a Federal Pell Grant, and who had successfully completed a rigorous high school program. Second year students must also have maintained a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0.
Up to $4,000 for each of the third and fourth years of undergraduate study
Full-time students who are U.S. citizens, eligible for a Federal Pell Grant, and majoring in physical, life, or computer sciences, mathematics, technology, or engineering or in a foreign language determined critical to national security. The student must also have maintained a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 in coursework required for the major.
