Study Abroad Programs
Bellarmine University views study abroad as an ideal venue in support of its mission to help students gain understanding, acquire knowledge, and develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world. The University seeks to ensure that study abroad is available as an integral component not only for foreign language study but for all other academic areas as well, and that it is accessible to all students, regardless of social and economic background. All study abroad programs are available to any student who has attended Bellarmine for at least two semesters, maintained a minimum GPA (program specific), and is in good social standing.
Bellarmine offers a wide variety of study abroad options on six continents in over 50 countries around the globe, ranging from departmental programs to summer enclave programs and semester or academic year exchanges at over 150 partner universities. General information sessions on study abroad are offered during all of the university's orientation sessions, as well as toward the middle of the fall semester. Unless otherwise noted, for more information on the study abroad opportunities, contact via email Professor Bosley or Erica Ward.
Further study abroad is available through a myriad of other programs, although transfer of credit and financial aid cannot be guaranteed for such programs. Current information about these opportunities is posted on the bulletin board outside the Financial Aid Office in Horrigan Hall 202, the Study Abroad Board in Frazier Hall, the International Programs Office in Miles Hall Suite 149 and through sites such as studyabroad.com and goabroad.com.
