  Physical Therapy: Getting Started  
Admission to the DPT program is competitive and Bellarmine University students receive priority placement. Transfer students must earn a bachelor’s degree or transfer to earn a bachelor degree from Bellarmine. Graduate and transfer students must meet specific pre-requisite coursework as indicated on the application to be considered for admission. A minimum 2.5 overall GPA and a minimum 2.75 math/ science GPA are also required to be considered for admission.

If you are still a high school student you need only to apply to the university during your senior year and indicate pre-physical therapy as your intended major.

Graduate Students
The Physical Therapy Program will begin accepting applications for the May 2009 cohort on August 1, 2008. All applications to the program will be processed through the Physical Therapy Common Application Service (PTCAS). Information on PTCAS is currently available on the American Physical Therapy Association website (www.apta.org) and can be viewed here. Bellarmine University’s priority application deadline for the May 2009 cohort is October 15, 2008 and final application deadline is December 1, 2008.
