President’s Report: Becca Clark, rclark01@bellarmine.edu  For Physical Therapy Awareness, October 16th and 18th from 11:00-12:00 (Free Period) there will be a table in the Café to weigh backpacks for National Physical Therapy Month.

-Pay dues to James Mountain as soon as possible. Dues are $10.

Guest Speaker-Ashley Heister, Laura Roberts, Rachel Walz, Amanda Hinkle (Physical Therapy Students)
They each spoke of:

Experiences in the Physical Therapy Program:
            -Plan on studying every night or you will fall behind in your work
            -Classes include both hands on and lecture
            -Recommended visit/observe a PT clinic or hospital for experience
            -Physical Therapy school is like having a full-time job
            -There are loan opportunities for PT school
            -Social life consists of students in your classes

Ashley Heister spoke of their class project:

            -Will try to incorporate Pre-PT students into the service learning clinic
            -Great way to get to know the faculty members of the PT program.
            -This would be good for students to learn their way around the clinic
           

Reminder that October is National Physical Therapy Month-look for promotions and educational resources in the Quad and Café.
