The Academic Grants Office and Faculty Development Center offer support and services to the Bellarmine academic community and are housed together in Room A22 of the Library.
The Academic Grants Office provides services that facilitate funding of research and sponsored projects. Our work focuses on pre-grant support services for faculty and staff, including:
Faculty who plan to apply for any kind of external funding, private or public, must contact the Academic Grants Office for a pre-approval and routing form. All proposals must be reviewed and approved by a faculty member’s dean, the Senior VP of Academic Affairs, and the VP for Finance BEFORE being submitted. If you are searching for funding or want to prepare a proposal, contact Debi Griffin in the Academic Grants office by phone (452-8089) or email
The Faculty Development Center (FDC) works closely with the faculty development committee to provide professional development programs pertinent to faculty needs. Programming plans include formation and renewal activities, Faculty Forum presentations, and a semester-long series that deeply explores one topic relevant to teaching/learning. The FDC also provides instructional design and technology support for faculty members. The FDC administers the campus Blackboard program and the Turn It In plagiarism prevention program.
For Faculty Development Center services, including training/support for Blackboard and Turn It In, call 452-8089 or email (dgriffin@bellarmine.edu).
