using nterlibrary loanOften you will need an article, book or audo-visual item that we do not own in the Bellarmine University Library. In this case, ask a librarian to see if another local library might own the item. Another option is interlibrary loan might be a good alternative. Most libraries have relationships with other libraries in which they can borrow items from each other. There are a couple of different ways to innitiate an interlibrary loan:
If you already have the information identifying a book or article (title, author, periodical etc.), you can go to the Bellarmine University Library website at http://bellarmine.edu/library you will arrive at the following screen:

On the page above, circled in red, you will see links to interlibrary loan forms. Lets assume you want to request a book that we do not have at Bellarmine. Clicking on Interlibrary Loan Book/Video Request results in the following page:

First time users will need to set up an account to get started. This is a one-time process and will not need to be done more than once. If you are a Bellarmine student, faculty or staff, enter your network Username and Password. You should be directed to the following page:

Enter your personal information in the areas marked by red stars and click Submit Information.You will be directed to the following page.

Enter the descriptive informtion for the book you want and click the Submit Request button.
You will be notified by email (or other method if you prefer) when your book arrives and you can pick it up at the library circulation desk.
