Bellarmine University holds 55th Annual Commencement (April 28, 2008)—Bellarmine University will award 88 master’s and 377 bachelor's degrees during its 55th annual commencement exercises on Saturday, May 10. Ceremonies will begin at noon in Knights Hall on Bellarmine’s campus. The commencement speaker will be Curt Tofteland, who is the founder and director of Shakespeare Behind Bars and producing director of the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival. Bellarmine will also award Tofteland an honorary doctorate. (more)

Bellarmine contributes more than 80,000 in community service hours (April 28, 2008)—Bellarmine University students, faculty and staff volunteered 83,636 hours during the past year (April 1, 2007-March 31, 2008). Activities ranged from cleaning Beargrass Creek to coaching youth sports to volunteering in third world countries.(more)
