Top Publications Recognize Bellarmine as a Great Place to Work and Learn

August 17, 2009

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (August 17, 2009) – Bellarmine University students and faculty are back on campus for the start of the fall semester just in time to celebrate two prestigious new honors. This month, Forbes.com named Bellarmine one of America's Best Colleges for the second year in a row. The Chronicle of Higher Education also recognized the university as one of the Great Colleges to Work For in 2009.

The Chronicle based its awards on institutional audits and a survey of faculty, administrators and staff. Bellarmine earned top marks in categories including "work/life balance" and “connection to and pride in institution.” To compile its rankings, Forbes.com considered student evaluations of courses and instructors, post-graduate success, four-year graduation rates and the number of students or faculty who win nationally competitive awards.

Bellarmine University is an independent Catholic university offering more than 50 majors, as well as graduate degree programs and a doctor of physical therapy. The Princeton Review ranks Bellarmine among America’s best institutions for higher learning and U.S. News and World Report consistently lists Bellarmine as a top tier university.
