Bellarmine Civic Orchestra & Kentucky Baroque Perform on Sept. 8 & 9

The Bellarmine community offers two free opportunities to enjoy Baroque and orchestral music this weekend.

SATURDAY – Kentucky Baroque
Kentucky Baroque – which includes members from Bellarmine University’s music department – performs at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1960 Bardstown Road, on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

The free performance includes works by Francois Couperin, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Michel Lambert and Marin Marais.

SUNDAY - Bellarmine Civic Orchestra
The Bellarmine University Civic Orchestra will hold their first concert of the semester on Sunday, September 9. The orchestra, which became affiliated with Bellarmine University earlier this year, will perform a free concert in the Wyatt Center for the Arts at 3 p.m.

The concert will feature performances by Bellarmine University students as well as members of the orchestra. Some of the songs they will perform include two pieces from Vivaldi, two from Mozart and one by Schubert.
