Parent Spotlight
Each week we offer Bellarmine University Parents the opportunity to answer a question that sheds further light on a specific topic related to student success/transition. We value the parent’s perspective and encourage you to check back each week. If you are interested in being a spotlight parent, please email parents@bellarmine.edu.September 13
“What is the biggest piece of advice you would give to your student about their college experience?”
Kimberly Charlet
Mother of Kiera Charlet, Class of 2014
My advice would be:
Explore Every Opportunity!
We rarely regret what we've done as much as we regret not doing what we had the chance to. Grab all you can from these years. At the very least, it makes for great stories afterward. And, there's no telling what may spark a lifelong passion. Take the time to get out of your comfort zone and meet people, explore new ideas and dive into new experiences as much as possible. There's as much learning waiting for you outside the classroom as there is in!
Lisa & Mike York
Mother & Father of Jessica York, Class of 2014
Our biggest piece of advice for our college student would be: you need to put God first, get plenty of rest, study hard during the week and enjoy the weekend.
