Bellarmine DPT students travel to Copse, Hanover Parish, Jamaica to practice pediatric physical therapy with their peers and professors. Copse is located on the northwest shore of Jamaica only a short 35-minute drive from Montego Bay. Students traveling to Jamaica will work at the Westhaven Children’s Home. Students will work side by side with their professors treating children with various neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. Typical costs for the one-week study abroad experience are $1,500-$2,000 (airfare, lodging, food). Students typically perform various fund raising activities to help cover the costs of this trip.
