What is an Impact Grant?
In an effort to increase opportunities for Bellarmine University to impact change and serve the community Impact Grants are available to all Bellarmine University students, faculty, and staff to apply for on an ongoing basis. The purpose of the grants are to provide funding and support for initiatives that will impact the Louisville and greater community in positive ways. Preference will be given to fund projects that consider long-term implications and solutions; such as implementing a community garden or developing a food pantry. You are encouraged to collaborate with groups to maximize the experience. These grants build upon the foundation that with creative ideas, passion, and a small amount of money… the possibilities to impact change are endless. Each project should be focused on improving the community (local, state, regional, national, or international) in short-term and long-term ways.
The first step in applying for an Impact Grant is to complete the application. Be sure to capture your vision and articulate why you would like for your project to be funded. Each application will be blind reviewed by a panel of faculty, staff, and students. You will receive feedback from the selection committee whether or not your project is funded. If your project is funded, you will be required to sign an acceptance agreement committing to the guidelines of the grant program, as well as submitting a final summary of how your project made an impact. Funded projects range from $50.00- $500.00.
