Church of Epiphany / Parish Nurse
Description: A parish nurse minister utilizes nursing and spiritual disciplines in a holistic approach to pastoral care ministries within a parish.
The roles of this minister include educator, counselor, referral source, facilitator, and support person in the areas of health and wellness. The minister is a part of a larger parish staff team that led by a pastor works together to build up the Body of Christ.
The parish nurse does no “hands on” medical care.
Qualifications: 1. A registered nurse with an active license in good standing in the state of Kentucky
2. Experience in the nursing profession with a focus on holistic nursing. (At least five years experience)
3. A completed ministry formative program in our Catholic faith
4. Completion of a parish nursing ministry education program or certificate program in parish nursing ministry
5. A practicing member of our Catholic faith
