Description: Title: Sales Executive
Reports to: Publisher, Medical News
Purpose: Increase revenue from advertising and sponsorship sales by calling prospects and tracking our sales efforts.
General Description:
Increase revenue by recruiting new advertisers, increasing the commitments of existing advertisers, and selling sponsorships for our events. Interact directly with our advertisers and prospects, mostly by phone and sometimes in person.
The best candidate will have a positive, team oriented approach, a commitment to excellence, and some prior sales experience.
We will consider full time or part time applicants.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
1. Sell advertisements and sponsorships for publications and events.
2. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database on advertisers and prospects.
Skills and Experience:
1. Sales - an ability to communicate the value proposition of our services.
2. Customer Service – an ability to hear, and respond to, the voice of the customer.
3. Reporting – experience maintaining customer relationship data.
4. Relationship and Teamwork Skills – an ability to establish and maintain relationships with a broad base of individuals from our advertisers to our partner organizations and other businesses.
Qualifications: Some sales experience. Have obtained or are currently pursuing an associate or bachelor degree.
