Accommodations and Support Services
Bellarmine University offers a range of
accommodations and support services designed to assist students with
disabilities. Each person has a unique set of needs, and
accommodations are determined on an individual basis, utilizing the
student's disability-related documentation. The accommodations and
services are free to students with appropriate documentation on file.

Bellarmine University is committed to
providing services and programs that assist all students in further
developing their learning and study skills to reach their academic
goals. Services offered through the Academic Resource Center include:
- Group and
individual tutoring for many classes
- A Writing
Center that offers assistance with writing assignments and with
preparation for essay examinations
- Workshops on
study skills, taking tests, note-taking, test anxiety, stress
management
Career Center - 502.272.8151
The Career
Center offers testing and counseling services designed to help
students make wise and informed decisions regarding their college
majors and careers. Vocational assessments help identify areas of
strength and interest. The Center also assists students with
internship placement, resume writing, job-seeking skills, interviewing,
and summer employment opportunities. Internships are usually offered
on a part-time basis during the academic year and full-time during the
summer. The Center also maintains a library on the second floor of
the Campus Center, Room 225, with specific information regarding
employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
Vocational Rehabilitation - 502.595.3423
The Disability Services Coordinator acts as a
liaison to the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation in
Louisville. For more information on their services, contact the
Department of Vocational Rehabilitation directly. If you have a VR
Counselor already, you are encouraged to meet with him/her regarding
recommended accommodations at the college level.

A full time registered nurse provides health
related services to all students with disabilities with a need for
highly specialized health care or preventive care measures.
