Student Discipline and Judicial Procedures
| |
As members of the Bellarmine University community, students, faculty, and staff work cooperatively to achieve a common standard of academic excellence. A caring and disciplined atmosphere is central to providing an open environment for learning. The rules and regulations of the institution are stated to assist each person in the development of a responsible lifestyle, respectful of the rights of others and compatible with the norms of society.
All disciplinary proceedings of the Bellarmine University community are intended to be educational, non-adversarial, and confidential. The university judicial process is not analogous to any civil or criminal court proceedings. The community disciplinary process is based on the concepts of fundamental fairness and due process. The system emphasizes the equal and just treatment of all parties involved, with due respect for all individual rights and privileges.
For a complete listing of Judicial Procedures and Policies, see the Student Handbook.
