Resident Assistant
Resident Assistants (RA) are sophomore, junior or senior
status students. The role of the RA is very complex. Duties focus
around being a student, role model, counselor, teacher and
administrator. RAs work with the Hall Director to plan programs for
the building and their individual areas. They also enforce policy and
communicate important information to residents. RAs are a vital part
of our residence halls.
RAs receive a free single room, a meal plan, and a small
monthly stipend as compensation.
Typically, we search for RAs in the spring for positions
starting the following academic year. Occasionally, we have openings
that start at the beginning of the spring semester in January and will
conduct a search in the fall.
