Siena Primo, commonly referred to as Siena, is a 116 bed residence hall and the first of four phases of the Siena Project. Siena Secondo, the second phase of the project, is a 145 bed residence hall.
The project's design has no obvious front or back, which lends to an attractive appearance from all perspectives. From Siena's rooms, students view our new Owsley B. Frazier Stadium and Joseph P. & Janet A. Clayton Field, or the Our Lady of the Woods Chapel and other residence halls.
The design of Siena is optimal in that it meets student needs and desires for a unique, functional, and technologically advanced living-learning community. Community is the cornerstone to living on campus and perhaps the most central element to the residential component of Vision 2020 and Department of Residence Life philosophy. With community in mind, Siena amenities foster opportunities for establishing student engagement, enhancing the BU student experience. For example, the expansive community spaces provide an atmosphere conducive to students’ out of class experiences. Providing opportunities for student engagement meets the new Vision 2020 and is symbolic of Bellarmine University’s high standards of quality for residential living and learning.
The populations of Siena Primo and Secondo will be determined based on enrollment.
