Saving Trees and Reducing Strain on the Back

Would you like to save some trees and also prevent back pain from carrying student papers?  Well, Moodle has a tool for that.  The tool is called Assignments and serves as a digital drop box for your students to submit their papers.  Regardless of what delivery method you use to teach your class, you can use this tool.

First, go to  your Moodle course and click on Add an activity or Resource in the section where you wish to add the assignment.

Second, give the assignment a name, specify when it will open and close, specify points, etc.  Many of the defaults will be just fine. Once you create the assignment a column for it will appear in your grade book.

Third, when time to grade just click on the link, download the submission, and click on Grade to enter grades.

These guides will assist you in the process--

As always feel free to contact us in the FDC if you need additional help or just want to walk through the process once with us.
