Using Unicheck, the University's Anti-Plagiarism Tool

Creating assignments using Moodle is easy to do, as is creating rubrics.  One of the latest and more powerful updates to Moodle is the Unicheck plagiarism plug-in.  While TurnItIn may have been perceived by some faculty as complex and cumbersome, Unicheck is much more streamlined and easy-to-use.  One needs to simply click on Add an Activity or Resource, select Assignment, then fill out some simple options, including those in the Unicheck section of the settings.  Here is a guide with more information on the creation process for a Unicheck assignment.  It is also easy to get the reports for Unicheck assignments as well as make specific comments on the submissions.  Grading the submissions is also easily done via the Moodle assignment grading tool, and more information is available on that here. If you would like to create rubrics that can be used to grade any assignment including Unicheck assignments, check out this document.
