Creating a Screencast or Video Easily Using Your Browser

Need to create a welcome video or a screencast for your class?  Well that can easily be done from the browser using a tool called Loom.  Loom is a free tool that allows you to record a video, your desktop or both.  The video will be on a publicly available site, but you can download it and add the file to Moodle, embed the code on Moodle, or share the link on Moodle.  You will have to set up an account, but that is easy to do and can be done via Google, Microsoft, or e-mail.  To use Loom you just set up an account, log in, click on how and what you wish to record (webcam, desktop, or both), and allow the microphone/webcam access.  It's quick, easy, and fun.  Please contact us in the Faculty Development Center if you have any questions or need help using it.
