Mother-Daughter Duo Thrive Through Early Entry MBA Program

Business

When Hannah Diaz completed her MBA through Bellarmine’s Early Entry MBA program in 2004, she had already earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 2003—completing both degrees in just five years. That fast-track experience helped launch her into a successful career in finance, and today she serves as the Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at Bardstown Bourbon Company.

“Doing the Early MBA program at Bellarmine was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made,” Hannah says.

Now, her daughter Raquel Diaz is proudly following in her footsteps. A sophomore at Bellarmine University, Raquel is majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing and Communications. She is enrolled in the Early Entry MBA program and currently interning in the accounting department at Bardstown Bourbon Company—where her mother leads financial strategy.

“One of my biggest inspirations to do the Early MBA program and follow this path was my mom,” Raquel shares.

Bellarmine’s Early Entry MBA program allows undergraduate students of any major to complete both their bachelor’s degree and an MBA in just five years. It’s designed for driven students like Raquel who want to elevate their education and career opportunities without extending their time in school.

In a wonderful full-circle moment, both mother and daughter were taught by Dr. Frank Raymond, Ph.D., Professor of Economics—an inspiring testament to the lasting impact of Bellarmine’s faculty and the strength of its academic legacy.
