Music and Theater Department Preparatory Program

The Bellarmine University Music and Theater Department Preparatory Division is a non-credit program which provides community outreach and continuing education programs in Music and Theater Arts for all ages and levels. We offer a wide variety of programs for children, teens and adults as well as for motivated pre-professional students preparing for a future in the performing arts. We invite you to take part in the wide variety of lessons offered in both individual and group format.

Lesson Selection

Our program offerings include individual lessons on an extensive list of options:

Voice

  • Classical, Musical Theater, Pop

Winds

  • Flute, Oboe, Clarinet • Bassoon, Saxophone

Brass

  • Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone • Euphonium, Tuba

Percussion

  • Set, Mallet, Orchestral
  • World Percussion

Strings

  • Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass

Keyboard

  • Piano, Organ

Jazz Studies

  • Piano, Guitar, Bass, Brass, Winds
  • Mallets, Set

Theater

  • Private coaching for the actor
  • Group lessons on a variety of topics and areas of interest

New additions to our lineup for this fall:

  • Jazz combo lessons coached by instructors on our jazz faculty
  • Three new piano groups for beginners:
    • Musical Moments, for adult beginners
    • Way Cool Keyboarding, for teens and young adults
    • Way Cool Keyboarding 4 Kids
